Consumerism

We hear a lot about overpopulation, but it is our consumption and production patterns that constitute the biggest threat to the biosphere. Industrial agriculture, plastic pollution, planned obsolescence, excessive meat consumption... - a system that is designed for the sole purpose of generating profit for the owners with no regard to the waste of valuable resources and the pollution of the eco-system that we are part of. We can change our consumption patterns, we can produce locally and sustainably and we can inspire others by our example.
